Glow Recipe at Beautycon LA 2016

Under the uncommonly overcast sky in Los Angeles, a pink banner proudly proclaiming “#BeautyconLA” broke through the concrete landscape. Moving towards the LA Convention Center like a moth attracted to a flame, our Glow Recipe team entered through the sliding doors of the Los Angeles Convention Center. After ascending the escalators, Kandee Johnson’s smiling face greeted us at the gates of a wonderland and playground of beauty. We made it. Beautycon Festival LA 2016.

This past weekend, the Glow Recipe team flew across the country to participate in Beautycon LA, an annual festival where beauty addicts get to interact with their favorite digital influencers while seeing and shopping with dozens of beauty brands – ours included! We were so honored to be invited to attend as the sole representative of Korean beauty and skincare.

While we were excited to meet celebrities and YouTube gurus, the best part was sharing and exchanging beauty stories with attendees. Some were familiar with Glow Recipe, while others had never heard of Korean beauty. In every case, people were eager and passionate about their routines and rituals, but also incredibly receptive to new products they couldn’t find at the other booths such as 2-step sheet masks, splash masks, bubble bean cleansers, or the cult-status Jelly Pack! We were so excited to see people literally toting around positivity and good vibes with our slogan. The “You Glow Girl!” totes were in such high demand that the line to get one stretched down the booth and around the corner!

We wanted to sincerely thank everyone who stopped by our booth and took photos with us despite the long lines and overall crowded-ness. The day was so much fun and we couldn’t imagine for it to have gone better!
