Can you take us through your beauty bag?
My beauty bag is a mix of everyday products that I might reach for throughout the day. On the skincare front I like keeping an extra tube of sunscreen and a mini cleanser, at the moment it’s Purito’s centella sunscreen and Glow Recipe’s Blueberry Bounce Cleanser. A mist is also a must-have for bringing life back to my skin after it’s been sucked dry from the heat being blasted—I like Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Mist cause it’s ultra-fine and doesn’t disturb my makeup. Other things in my bag? Hair ties, hand cream, and half a dozen lip products.
Describe your daily beauty routine to us!
Usually, my daily routines are done hazardously. I keep my cleansers and masks in the bathroom, and everything else in my bedroom so I’m usually running back and forth between the two rooms when I’m doing my routine. In the mornings, I brush my teeth, eat breakfast, and catch up on messages while applying my skincare in-between.
How has your beauty routine evolved through the years?
My routine has changed A LOT since I was a teen. I’ve learned to be gentle and hydrate my skin rather than aggressively using all the acne treatments possible. Oh, and I wear sunscreen every day!
What beauty tip do you wish you knew earlier?
I really wish I knew about double cleansing earlier. If you have never double cleansed before, it’s the process of using an oil-based cleanser first and then following it up with a traditional cleanser. It helps melt off makeup, sunscreen, and the grime of the day effectively and gently. Properly cleansing my skin without stripping it off moisture helped get my acne under control.
