In The Bag: The Glossarray
In The Bag is where we ask our Glow Gang to open up their bags and tell us all about themselves and what they carry around on the daily. Take a peek behind the scenes to learn what they can’t live without — you might be surprised by what they reveal.

With one simple DM, beauty influencers Mai Morgan and Daxia Godoy started a journey that would lead to the creation of The Glossarray. The beauty blog (and its excessively popular Instagram account) features in-depth reviews and routines from the pair, plus some of the prettiest shelfies we’ve ever seen. We caught up with the two to chat about how their daily routines have evolved and their penchants for a natural beauty look for our very first In The Bag interview. Check it out!
Can you take us through your beauty bag?
Mai: My beauty bag is kind of a revolving door of products, honestly. It’s a combination of products that I love using on a daily basis, and ones that I’m testing out! I travel often, so I always try to keep my routine simple and to the point. In the morning, I adore Bioderma’s Sensibio Micellar Water, Avene’s Thermal Spring Water (I keep this with me and use it throughout the day), Drunk Elephant’s C-Firma Vitamin C Serum, Farmacy’s Green Defense Daily Mineral Sunscreen, and Glow Recipe’s Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer. At night, things get a bit more intense, haha. I’ll cleanse using Bioderma again (with micellar water or Sensibio wipes), and then I’ll normally follow that up with either the Versed Day Dissolving Balm, or Glow Recipe’s Blueberry Bounce Cleanser, depending how much makeup I had on, if any. Then, I’ll mist, apply both Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinamide, and a few times a week I’ll alternate masking and exfoliating. I really love the Glow Recipe Watermelon Sleeping Mask—it’s been a staple of mine forever. When it comes to makeup, I’ve been loving the Dr. Jart+ Cicapair Tiger Grass Color Correcting Treatment, with RMS Beauty’s Living Luminizer on the high points of my face.
Daxia: My beauty bag has all of the products that I use daily! For the morning I’ve got my Bioderma Sensibio cleanser, Glow Recipe Watermelon Glow Ultra-Fine Mist, Pineapple-C Bright Serum, Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer, Elta MD UV Clear SPF and Versed Vacation Eyes Brightening Eye Gel. At night after I cleanse I’ll mist again and apply the Sweet Chef Kale + Vitamin B Serum, then the Versed Dew Point Moisturizing Gel-Cream. As for makeup, I go pretty minimal with the Erborian BB Cream, Jillian Dempsey Cheek Tint in Sunny and my eyelash curler.
Describe your daily routine to us.
M: My routine has become something that is as important to me as my morning coffee. It makes me feel more awake, and puts me in the right mindset to productively execute my daily tasks. I either do my routine at my vanity, or in my bathroom, it just depends. It normally takes around 10-15 minutes, also depending on how slow I’m moving that morning haha. My night routine takes a bit more time, since I like to make sure everything is absorbed before moving onto the next step. This can take anywhere from 15-30 minutes (if I’m masking).
D: My beauty routine is always a priority for me. I can never properly start or finish my day without doing my routine. I start in the bathroom where I’ll cleanse and then head to my vanity area in my bedroom to finish off my routine. This takes about 5 to 10 minutes.
How has your beauty routine evolved through the years?
M: Growing up with dry skin, I always over-exfoliated and couldn’t understand why my skin was STILL dry. I’m so angry at myself now for how I treated my skin as a teenager, but at least I know now. I also have sensitive skin with rosacea, which I definitely didn’t care for properly. I now know what my skin reacts to, and what to avoid. It’s been a fun learning experience, and it’s always a proud moment when I find products that make my skin look it’s best.
D: I used to use so many products and I had no idea why I was using those products. I’d quite literally be piling anything on my face because I could. Now I’m more into learning the science behind ingredients and figuring out what actually works for my skin. I’ve also learned that sometimes less is more, so I’ve really cut down my routine and tried to keep it consistent.
Do you have a signature beauty look?
M: My signature look always changes, because I love experimenting and have been experimenting with makeup for as long as I can remember. I alternate between natural, dewy looks and more heavy, dramatic looks. When it comes to the latter, I love wearing a dark smokey eye, dramatic lashes, and bushy brows.
D: My signature look is pretty natural and dewy. I usually just wear a BB cream and blush, then I curl my lashes. The Glow Recipe products definitely help give me that look so I don’t have to add extra makeup to achieve dewiness. Lately I’ve been adding in a cat eye, which I usually end up doing every time the weather gets colder.
