Watermelon Glow Niacinamide Dew Balm SPF 45

For context, I'm a young person who very rarely wears face makeup and has genetically pretty good skin, so I can't speak much to anything skincare related to this product. My main want in sunscreen is for it to be easy to apply, and for it to not feel sticky on my skin. This product is great for the first want, since it glides on super easily and can fit into almost any purse or bag without too much hassle. Definitely makes it more enticing to put on sunscreen every day and reapply it since it's so easy to apply. For the second point however, it feels very wet to the touch and noticeably doesn't dry down if you put on the recommended 4 layers too quickly. I've found that if you put on each layer, pat it down, and let it dry before putting on the next layer it feels a lot better. This product is still really nice, but I wanted to put a warning to anyone who might have sensory issues or has an active lifestyle and sweats a lot.

I have worn this everyday out in 90 plus degrees with the uv between a 9 and 11 at the pool for 3 hours or more fore 10 days straight plus just out and about while visiting my daughter and grandson in Colorado Springs. I applied the balm before leaving then about every 2 hours after, so easy plus it fits in your pocket of your shorts, Not one time did I get a sunburn. Also no burning my eyes either, major bonus points here!! This will definitely be a repurchase and in my daily skincare routine for when I leave the house all year round. Thanks for a great product

Pros: dry/normal skin types will get a dewy look, glides on well, sits over other skin care without pilling, zero cast, easy reapplication (if you aren’t wearing makeup), smell is gentle and not overpowering, design is easy for carrying on the go

Cons: combo skin girlies might find themselves looking oily instead of dewy (I did in my t-zone). It doesn’t truly absorb, but rather sits on the skin leaving a petroleum-adjacent feeling mask wherever it was applied. For me this is a problem. I wear glasses, own pets, and frequent the outdoors. I find I’m constantly cleaning my glasses from smudges being transferred by the product my eyelashes pick up, and particles/debris are sticking to my face (stray pet fur, pollen, dirt, cut grass, whatever outside that’s being kicked up or blown around). I wind up touching my face and extraordinary amount every time I wear this due to wiping stuck things off me

It’s a good product with a lot of good things about it, but unfortunately for me it was a miss

It glides on easily and blends effortlessly however it will disturb your makeup so put it on as part of your pre-makeup skincare. It has a barely noticeable watermelon rind scent and looks slightly pink translucent. I’ve been using it every day for over a week now and after having been out in the sun, I have not been sunburned. I would purchase this again.
