Gwen's Bye Breakouts Routine

I started getting acne in college, but never had it as a teenager. It was always a source of stress and I was weary to try new products because my skin is pretty sensitive. I tend to lean more into natural-ish products, and I like to introduce things slowly, one at a time, to make sure my skin doesn't react (and I can pinpoint the culprit if it does!).

My self-care routine has changed a lot in the past few years and it’s something I’ve started investing a lot more time in. I wasn’t using serums or eye creams before, but now my routine is much more robust. The most important part of my self-care routine is exercising and keeping my body moving as a way to relieve stress. I also like to put on a face mask and just lay on my bed and chill.

Gwen's Must Haves

Pineapple-C Brightening Serum

I have acne-prone skin, so my biggest skin concern is acne and the scarring it leaves behind. This is one of my favorite products—it makes my face a lot brighter and has made a notable difference in reducing the appearance of my dark spots.

Watermelon Glow Sleeping Mask

This was the first Glow Recipe product I ever tried. My old coworker swore by it and raved about how it brightened their skin and made them glowy. I loved it as an intro to the brand.

Avocado Melt Retinol Sleeping Mask

If I don’t use this mask at night, my face feels tighter and drier when I wake up. I think it’s great for keeping my skin balanced and hydrated.
