Laura's Pore Refining Routine
I've always had extremely oily skin, from my teens ’til now. Breakouts have always been minimal and disappear quickly, but my skin has always had an uneven tone with redness. As a medium skin tone, it took me years to realize that so much of my sensitivity, redness, and the dryness was being exasperated by the sun. I thought only pale people had to deal with that. Introducing SPF 3 years ago changed my skin completely.
Even though my skin is still very oily, I also deal with dehydration so my skin instantly drinks up any water-based formulas. I’m really drawn to lightweight, soothing products that help even my skin tone.
Laura's Must Haves
Blueberry Bounce Gentle Cleanser
I use this cleanser twice a day for one minute. Sometimes I use it as a 5-minute clarifying mask, and the result feels like post-mud mask skin, without feeling tight or stripped.
Watermelon Glow PHA + BHA Pore-Tight Toner
I prefer toners with a focus on pore de-clogging because I have enlarged pores when my skin is as it's oiliest. I love how this bouncy, watery texture absorbs super quickly. Before the toner came out, I used the mist as my toner step because my skin needs lightweight hydration in several layers, so skipping this step wasn't an option.
Watermelon Glow Pink Juice Moisturizer
With my oily skin, it's all about lightweight water or gel-like textures. And since dehydration is always a factor too, my skin needs high powered hydrators like hyaluronic acid and watermelon. This moisturizer is also my go-to primer when I wear makeup. It dries down quickly, doesn't pill, and provides a nice dewy base for foundation.
